ENGLISH GRAMMAR 2º ESO (May, 7th)
FUTURE TIME (unit 6)
In English, we have so many
different ways of expressing future time. Today (6), we are going to learn
about the form of two of them: ‘WILL’ and ‘BE GOING TO’.
Copy the chart below in your
notebook.
Future with ‘WILL’ is very simple to form because it has the same form
for all the subjects and it is followed by the infinitive form of the verb. The only exception is the contracted form of ‘will
+not’ that is WON’T.
Future with ‘Be Going To’ is also followed by the infinitive form of the verb,
but you need to coordinate the verb ‘to be’ (am/is/are)with the subject of the
sentence.
